Sometimes, friends ask me, "you can sketch well, then why automotive design only? why not something else." And I don't really have an answer to that. So, it's time to give it a thought. Okay, I can imagine stuff and draw a sketch out of it, which is designing in its simplest form. I do still sketching too and also sketching from a photograph, but making good quality sketches of objects around, doesn't interest me much. So, drawing something that doesn't exist, is my thing. And no non-living thing appeals to me more than a car. When I start imagining a sexy looking car, my brain systematically creates a 3D image, highlighting the curves and shapes, even the lights glow and doors open. The only thing then remains is to let it land on a blank paper. This event is just like a celebration going on in my head. Hence, automotive design.
